This unique performance event showcases 4 new commissions from Mercy on the spirituality of writing, voice, glitch and noise.
Coming from a wide variety of perspectives across langauge-led spectrum, from spoken word to performance-writing to sound-poetry and new media practice, these new works are united by their cutting edge approach to the intersection of audience, performer and interface.

A new work based around ideas of audio degradation and reclaimed media.
Using DVD players and various electronics, the audio from well known
movies and TV shows will be subjected to rigorous
manipulation and reinvention resulting in ambient drone dialogues and
explosions of fragmented soundtrack.

Ross Sutherland: Stand By For Tape Back-Up

Sutherland uses looped footage, taken from The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air, and uses it to commune with the spirit of his granddad.

Steven Fowler and Ben Morris (Chora)

Kinetic and voice experimentation, involving Steven's destinctively strong vocal performance, and wired-up boxing pads that generate sonic rhythms.
