WHO WE DO IT WITH

MERCY SAYS:

A member of the Mercy old-guard, credited with bringing a new level of intelligence and ambition to Mercy's creative programme. Between 2006-8 he co-curated a series of groundbreaking exhibitions for Mercy: including )BracketThis(2&3, Demolition, and Interchange.

Tomas' work is hallmarked by an attention to detail and clarity of vision. He is now Exhibitions Co-ordinator at Cornerhouse Gallery and continues to advise Mercy on matters otherwise beyond us.

Sometimes he looks very much like a cat. We can't explain why.

TOMAS HAROLD SAYS:

Getting involved with Mercy was the best thing I could have done. They gave me the confidence to start out with initial ideas, and offered the support and enthusiasm to convince me that ‘its possible'. But Mercy is also about thoroughly enjoying what you're doing and doing something that people are thoroughly impressed with.

They've kept the unabated, unabashed enthusiasm, but developed into a coherent and rigorous operation, with real sensitivity and attention to detail and - above all - the involvement of some of the most talented and interesting people in their field in the country at the moment. They also manage to look good in the photographs I take.
