WHO WE DO IT WITH

Kathryn's illustration for Mercy Magazine #38 - The 'Slang' Issue

MERCY SAYS:

We love Kathryn. She is a brilliant illustrator, a thoughtful and playful artist and a super-productive all round creative.  Check her work out NOW.

We first started to work with Kathryn back in the days of print - when she regularly produced some of the most striking spreads of our Mercy Magazine. Since then, she's done live drawing and sculpture as part of our residency at Tate, contributed to our ezine, and worked with us on some commerial briefs too.

Kathryn graduated from Nottingham Trent School of Art and Design in 2002, and regularly exhibits in participatory settings, as well as contributing to a wide range of independent publications. She lives in Leeds. All things being well, Kathryn will be working with Luke Kennard on Mercy's comic-strip project in 2011.

KATHRYN COOPER SAYS:

I've always enjoyed very much working with Mercy - I get an email out of the blue, it is always curiously well timed somehow, offering me an opportunity which could be drawing on a bike for the Mayor of London or being part of a performance installation at the Tate. It always seems like the right kind of thing at the time for my practice or to shake the cobwebs off. In summary--> Marvelous supportive chaps!
