WHO WE DO IT WITH

MERCY SAYS:

John O'Shea is an artist, photographer and film-maker who works with systems, law, public participation and technology. He is also the founder of Re-dock, a multimedia artist collective working in the public realm, and the instigator of Open Source Swan Pedalo, an arts experiment. We recently asked John to join our board and creative committee, on the basis that he's already responsible for providing some of the most assured and incisive advice that we've recieved across all our projects.

Alongside this advisory role, John's taken some brilliant pictures of our events,  contributed to our e-zines, and we're currently working on a new programming workshop series with him.

Regarded as one of Liverpool's most forward-thinking artists, John recently completed an MA at Newcastle University's CultureLab, delivering a project which combined his interests in programming and law.

The artist who is most likely to be revealed to be a superhero.

JOHN O'SHEA SAYS:

Mercy approach their work with great ambition and their commitment the 'live' experience is something I share.

I had been aware of Mercy before I even arrived in Liverpool and I finally became involved during the very early planning for the Wave events; I advised on this and gradually I've found myself in the midst of many creative and volatile dialogues.

I'm here for the energy, friendship and chaos.
