INFO:
’An exhibition of artwork designed to be destroyed’, Demolition! was an exhibition that we curated for the Albert Docks’ Site Gallery, supported by LJMU. In it, we commissioned artists to create new works that were specifically designed to somehow deteriorate or become irreparably damaged by the end of the 3-week residency.
Featuring a castle made from £200-worth of 1&2p pieces, a stereo with a mechanical saw slowly cutting its own speaker wires, and a giant egg timer set on a sheet of glass too weak to hold the sand above it, over 2,000 people got involved in assisting the show’s gradual decline.
Curated by Tomas Harold and Nathan Jones
